The protection level is IP**. The first digit is the dustproof grade, and the latter digit is the waterproof grade. The highest dustproof rating is 6. The highest waterproof rating is 8.

Table 1: The degree of protection indicated by the first characteristic number (number)
0. No protection. No special protection for outside people or objects.
1. Prevent the intrusion of solid objects larger than 50mm. Prevent the human body (such as the palm of your hand) from accidentally touching the internal parts of the lamp. Prevent the intrusion of foreign objects of larger size (diameter greater than 50mm).
2. Prevent the intrusion of solid objects larger than 12mm. Prevent human fingers from contacting the internal parts of the lamp. Prevent the intrusion of medium-sized foreign objects (12mm larger in diameter).
3. Prevent the intrusion of solid objects greater than 2.5mm. Prevent tools, wires or similar small foreign objects with a diameter or thickness greater than 2.5mm from intruding and contacting the internal parts of the lamp.
4. Prevent the intrusion of solid objects greater than 1.0mm. Prevent tools, wires or similar small foreign objects with a diameter or thickness greater than 1.0mm from intruding and contacting the internal parts of the lamp.
5. Dustproof: Completely prevent the intrusion of foreign objects. Although it cannot completely prevent the intrusion of dust, the amount of intruded dust will not affect the normal operation of the lamp.
6. Dustproof: Completely prevent the intrusion of foreign objects and completely prevent the entry of dust.

Table 2: The degree of protection indicated by the second marked characteristic number (number)
0. No protection No protection.
1. Prevent the intrusion of dripping water. Vertically dripping water droplets (such as condensation water) will not have any harmful effects on the lamps.
2. It can still prevent the intrusion of dripping water when tilted to 15 degrees. When the lamp is tilted from vertical to 15 degrees, dripping water will not have a harmful effect on the lamp.
3. Prevent sprayed water from intruding. Prevent rain, or prevent water sprayed from a direction with an angle less than 60 degrees from the vertical from entering the lamp and causing damage.
4. Prevent the intrusion of splashing water. Prevent water splashing from all directions from entering the lamp and causing damage.
5. Prevent the intrusion of sprayed water. Prevent the water ejected from the nozzles from all directions from entering the lamp and causing damage.
6. Prevent the intrusion of large waves. Lighting fixtures installed on the deck can prevent damage caused by the intrusion of large waves.
7. Prevent water intrusion when immersed in water. If the lamp is immersed in water for a certain period of time or the water pressure is below a certain standard, it can ensure that it will not be damaged by water intrusion.
8. Prevent water intrusion during sinking. The lamp can be sunk indefinitely under specified water pressure conditions to ensure that no damage is caused by water intrusion.
In addition to the above 2 digits, there are 2 optional letters:
Additional letters: Protect against access to hazardous parts
A. Back of hand
B. Finger
C. Tools
D. Metal wire
Supplementary letters: specifically supplementary information
H. High voltage equipment
M. Running the sample during waterproof test
S. The sample remains stationary during the waterproof test
W. Climatic conditions
It can be seen that the requirements for industrial tablet computers are much higher than those for commercial use. Another feature of industrial tablet computers is that most of them are used with configuration software to achieve industrial control.
